GERTRUDE WHALEY TODD

Gertrude Todd, 96, passed from death to life on Thursday, February 29 2024. Born February 18, 1928, t he daughter of Jalanie and Shellie Whaley. She was married to Eugene Todd for forty years until his passing in 1990. Gertrude graduated from Williamsport High School and Lycoming College. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, her sons Robert and Kevin, her brothers Howard, Malcolm, Laverne, Ronald, Melvin, George and her sister Mildred. She leaves behind two daughters Sharon and Janice of Williamsport; four adopted grandchildren Querida, Cameron, Canisha and Caleb; a host of nieces and nephews; as well as the many who counted her as their Mama Todd. And crowned with the privilege to help raise her grand nephew, Josh Aarons. Her legacy is not just found in the countless acts of kindness she performed but in the profound impact she had on each individual she met. She was the matriarch of Antioch Baptist where she served as the organist since its inception in 1993. Services will be held at Antioch Baptist Church, 514 High Street, on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Public viewing at 9 a.m. and Celebration Service at 10 a.m. Internment will be at the Montoursville Cemetery following the service. (morseandkleesefuneralhome.com)
